Green Card Lottery Open for Entries for Limited Period

This is a reminder to enter the U.S. Dept. of State’s annual Diversity Visa Lottery Program, commonly known as the Green Card Lottery. The entry period concludes at noon, Tuesday, Nov. 6, Eastern Standard Time. There will be an entry rush the last few days which could effect the Dept. of State’s website, so it is best to enter now.

Intended to assist persons from countries with low rates of U.S. immigration, the Diversity Visa Lottery makes available up to 50,000 immigrant visas- Green Cards- to individuals selected randomly from those who enter and who meet strict eligibility requirements. Married individuals who win and qualify will also get Green Cards for their spouse (same sex spouses included) and eligible children.

To be successful, an applicant born in an eligible country must hold either a high school diploma or at least two years of job experience in a job requiring a minimum of two years of training or experience. However, a U.S. job offer is NOT necessary to be eligible. Natives of Venezuela and Argentina remain eligible to apply.

Persons who are already the beneficiary of an immigrant visa petition in another category (family or employment) may still apply for the Diversity Visa Lottery Program. For additional information, you should visit www.dvlottery.state.gov.
A Diversity Visa Lottery Program entry must be submitted electronically during the registration period.

For a modest fee, Bander Law Firm is prepared to assist you complete the electronic entry form for the Diversity Visa Lottery Program and see that your application is filed timely and correctly. If you are unsure whether you are eligible to enter to receive a Green Card if selected, Bander Law Firm can evaluate your situation, or that of a family member or employee.
